There are plenty of hiking routes nearby for the recreational and professional hikers. There are hiking guides and topographic maps available in the house. You can start hiking from Quinta Da Tapada to explore the environments or you can choose to drive to the mountains and start the hiking routes from there on. The route through the nature park of Mata Da Margaraca, which starts at the waterfall Fraga De Pena in Benefeita or the route from Piódão to Foz d’égua are especially recommended.
